Project Overview
This project involved the delivery and commissioning of a lithium-ion pouch cell production line for a European battery manufacturer aiming to establish in-house pouch cell manufacturing capability. The customer required not only reliable production equipment, but also a structured commissioning and training process to ensure long-term operational independence.
After equipment delivery, TOBGROUP dispatched a dedicated engineering team to the customer’s factory to perform installation supervision, system integration, parameter calibration, and trial production. The commissioning phase focused on aligning electrode preparation, stacking, pouch sealing, electrolyte filling, formation, and testing processes into a stable and repeatable production flow.
During trial operation, TOBGROUP engineers worked closely with the customer’s local engineering team to optimize key process parameters and verify product consistency. Training was conducted alongside real production activities, allowing local engineers to gain hands-on experience with equipment operation, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance.
By the end of the project, the customer’s team was able to independently operate the complete pouch cell production line and consistently manufacture pouch lithium-ion batteries meeting internal quality standards. This project demonstrates TOBGROUP’s ability to deliver not only equipment, but also complete engineering transfer and production readiness.
